Moira CRS Sariya has a unique x-rib pattern which provides it with superior bonding strength. This ribbed pattern is spread uniformly across the entire length of the sariya that allows the concrete to grip the steel and form strong bonds throughout the structure. Unlike ordinary sariya in which ribs are manually cut, Moira Sariya achieves uniformity across its bars through the use of modern CNC machines. Our soft-core TMT bars offer an advantage at construction sites due to their superior bendability. Moira TMT bars can be bent easily and sharply without resulting in cuts and damages, which makes them the perfect choice for a variety of applications.
Our TMT bars have a low carbon equivalent, and hence can be easily welded. They have undergone several tests which evaluate their strength and performance under repeated loading coupled with large deformations. These conditions are similar to the ones encountered during an earthquake. The results indicated uniform dissipation of energy across all cycles , thus implying the presence of a constantly maintained ductility, which makes Moira TMT bars a great construction solution in earthquake-prone zones.

Our TMT bars undergo some additional tests to ensure that efficient quality is maintained post production as well:
TMT samples also undergo Mandrel Bend Test in which the bars are tested on a bending machine to ensure that no cracks appear. The size of the mandrel is based on the TMT diameter using the formula TMT diameter x 5 = Mandrel diameter.
Salt corrosion test is performed to check rusting. A TMT sample is half tied in a polythene, while the other half is left open. It is then immersed in salt water, usually for a period of 96 hours, and is then kept in the open for a few days to see how soon rust is formed on the TMT.

Using TMT bars of Fe-500 grade instead of Fe-415 grade leads to up to 20% savings on material, thus leading to a saving in the amount spent on buying TMT bars. The difference in the strength between Fe-415 and Fe-500 grades is 20%, Fe-500 being 20% stronger than Fe-415. The reason for this is as follows:
This gives Fe-500 a superior structural strength than Fe-415, therefore, lesser number of Fe-500 TMT bars are required to hold the structure as compared to Fe-415. For instance, if a structure requires 1 ton of steel, which costs Rs 50,000 for Fe-415. then Fe-500 grade would require 0.8 tons of steel, which would cost Rs 40,000 leading to a saving of Rs 10,000 per ton. Unlike other brands which claim to manufacture Fe-500 while actually manufacturing Fe-415, Moira guarantees that its Fe-500 grade TMT bars are 100% genuine.
